Feedback pop-up on applications
[Tue May 25 15:58:33 CDT 2021]

Here is a new trend on the latest software that, frankly, I don't appreciate at all. It seems as if, borrowing a page from the developers of mobile applications, software developers of desktop apps are now displaying a pop-up window when one finishes using them to request feedback in the form of a general star rating. I'm sorry, but I find this bothersome. Does Microsoft truly need a boost in their credibility to promote Teams? What do they need this for? For the Internet App Store? Honest, it's a pain in the neck. A minor one, sure, but still a pain. There is no need whatsoever for this sort of thing. But, hey, it's a trend, and we don't know how to say no to a new, cool trend. {link to this entry}
